SpaceMaker on, tailgate open.
Full boot access, even with bikes on the carrier. The SpaceMaker sits between towbar and carrier and swings both 90 degrees to the side in a single move. The bikes stay right where they are.
How the SpaceMaker works
The SpaceMaker is placed onto the 50 mm towball and secured with a hex socket screw. A second towball on the arm takes your bike carrier, mounted just as you're used to. The integrated power cable connects vehicle and carrier directly, with no extra adapters or extensions.
Your existing setup stays as it is. The SpaceMaker simply adds the swing function.

Does the SpaceMaker fit your vehicle?
Minimum technical requirements:
- Steel towbar with 50 mm towball
- Minimum towing capacity of the towbar: 2,000 kg
- Minimum clearance from top of towball to bottom edge of tailgate: 40 mm
- Suitable for detachable towbars (exception: round mount with horizontal insertion and bolt locking)
Not compatible with:
- Aluminium or GGG-30 cast iron towbars
- FIX4BIKE carrier systems
- Carriers for 3 or 4 bikes
- Not suitable for towing trailers
