The adapter is too heavy, he thinks at first. Almost all existing solutions put more weight on the hitch than necessary. Obvious, but not the core of it. It has to work with the bike carrier you already own — that comes next, already closer. But the answer that sticks is a different one: every existing adapter requires a modification to the vehicle before it can even be mounted. Yet every car already has the perfect interface: the tow hitch.
In that moment, an idea becomes a standard: no modifications, no extra parts, no time at the workshop. Just mount and clamp — on any tow hitch, with the bike carrier you already own. Developed in Switzerland, manufactured by Alu Line in Germany, where this standard is brought to life technically.
The SpaceMaker has been on the market since 2022 and has proven itself in use ever since.
