The SpaceMaker – Left Swinging

You have a bike carrier on your tow bar and still want unrestricted access to your trunk or cargo area? Folding down the bikes is not enough because you want to load and unload heavy suitcases or other items while the bikes are mounted?

We have the solution!

TheSpaceMaker – the adapter for your bike carrier (Max. for 2 bikes)

It slides quickly and easily over your tow bar coupling and is fixed within seconds from above using an Allen screw on the ball of the tow bar coupling. Another ball on the boom provides the natural starting position for your bike carrier. The integrated power cable connects your vehicle with your carrier, offering even more flexibility. The distance from the center of the tow bar ball to the center of the SpaceMaker ball is approx. 110 mm.

With our unique product, two e-bikes (max. 65 kg load capacity) can simply be swung 90° to the side, providing full access to the rear of your vehicle.

• Also suitable for removable tow bars (restriction see below)
• CE-certified – no further special approval required
• Compatible with almost all tow bar carriers for max. 2 bikes (Not for carriers with FIX4BIKE tow bar mount or carriers for 3 or 4 bikes)
• Incl. cable and plug for vehicle connection and a socket on the boom for connecting the carrier cable
• Swing direction: Left (towards driver side)

Requirements for use:

• Only usable with steel tow bars (Not usable with aluminum or GGG 30 cast couplings)
• Not usable with removable tow bars with round receptacle that slides horizontally forward into the mount and is secured with a bolt
• Compatible with almost any tow bar, provided the measurement of 40mm from top of ball to bottom of tailgate/rear door is not undercut
• Tow bar pulling capacity min. 2000 kg
• Tow bar ball diameter 50 mm
• Measurement from top of ball to top of horizontal tube of tow bar min. 73 mm
• The SpaceMaker is suitable for vehicles from VW T6 size and larger, as well as pick-ups (Not suitable for cars and SUVs)
• Not suitable for towing trailers
